Tip: Set the best curves so that the setting does not affect the colors.
When you want to adjust the contrast with curves (for example), then the colors are changed ...
It is a style that suits most of the time. but sometimes, we just like to edit the contrast without affecting color.
► For this solution, put the Layer Settings / curves on the Blend Mode: Brightness.

Tip: Quickly navigate between open documents.
To navigate between open files in Photoshop, and there may be many in a photomanipulation, a simple little manipulation will allow you to come to the fore in order to select them.
That a number of open documents in Photoshop. And among all the documents posted here cascade (this could be it would be the same tab) I want a specific, but as the number of documents is important, it is not easy to spot quickly.
Just to scroll quickly to combine CTRL and TAB.
I said that for MAC users, it is also the key and not the CMD that usually replaces the famous CTRL key.
And here I found the document I needed!
A little trick for Mac users, if you lower your open documents for easy retrieval just press the F18 key
which displays all application windows.
If you have a touchpad then just drag three fingers down (screenshot below). Simply select a document and appears in PS.

Photoshop Tip: How to hide or re-appear several layers simultaneously.
You have an image with several layers and you want to hide all layers except one.
For this it is very simple:
► simply hold the Alt key and click on the eye icon in front of the line, the layer that you want to leave yet.
Example in picture: I want to hide all layers except the background layer.

move the cursor over the image to see the image before and after
Another Alt + click reveals other layers.
This also works if the layers are in one or more Groups.
This icon masking / visibility is very convenient to temporarily see the original image, for example, or to hide a set of layers during operation.

Tip: brush mixer.
The Mixer Brush appeared with the CS5 version of Photoshop, it is quite easy to use and it is interesting to use to color a picture or create the early stages of a painting on picture.
Namely, you can use this brush working a mixture of color, and so choosing a color charge.
Or work with a cleaning brush to simply blend existing colors.
In this example, the active loading of the brush (the Load icon shape box), we choose a color foreground and so we will mix the existing colors of the image with the load of the brush that was selected.
We must learn the proper balance loads. For that, nothing beats the tests, each parameter must adapt to what we try to do.
Here I added some blue hairs at this kitty.

Load the form activated
In the example below, loading the brush you off (uncheck Load shaped icon) and activate the automatic cleaning (the Clean as icon check box.)
Thus, it is working with the mixer brush colors already present in the picture.

Load the form: disabled - Clean the form activated

Tip: Disable the outline of a selection.
It can be very disabling, when you want to make an effect on selection and a real taste of this effect,
the dotted lines have the outline of the selection.
Thus, a simple little keyboard shortcut allows you to enable or disable this outline:
► CMD + H to Mac or CTRL + H to PC.
Here is a selection ...
If I'm such a blur effect on the selection, it does not necessarily make the actual rendering account ...
► CMD + H or CTRL + H will hide the edges of the selection ... Allowing to assess the effect without losing the selection.
Then just repeat the same command to the selection outline reappears.

Tip: Improve the contrast with a curve (CS6)
In Photoshop CS6, just add a Layer Settings / Curves.
The operations will be the same. There are, however, a setting called automatic if you are afraid to manipulate the curve manually.
This setting gives good results.
Under Presets, you also have a certain number of interesting proposals.
By choosing the high contrast, you have essentially the same curve with Camera Raw.
You can also draw your curve by hand if you wish ...
Nevertheless, we must always be careful when you want to add contrast to not do too much
in order not to distort the picture and especially to not have a significant loss of quality.
